We have been quite caught up in a whirlwind of things to do around the house, at school, with family and the list goes on and on- that I haven't been using my free time to write what we've been doing over the last three weeks. I will now take the time to review.
We have of course continued our soccer games which are ending in about two weeks, in which Aiden has excelled tremendously. I mean he still romps around and follows the big cluster of kids, but that's what it's all about.
On Wednesday, October 15th, we finally went to Jasper's house which has been a long time coming. Hillary (Jasper's mom) and I had been talking about it forever and then the boys talked about it forever and then it was finally all we could take anymore. So it was really a great visit. We went to their house, which was beautiful and played trains and Aiden was very excited to play with all of Jasper's toys. We stayed for about 2 and a half hours and then went right to GG's house. Liam was so pooped and slept all through GG's until it was time to leave and as soon as I picked him up from there he woke right up. It really made me in a good mood the rest of the day to have had some socializing myself with an adult too. Overall a very successful day.
Aiden had a soccer game on Saturday and my dad and grandma came (the boys' grandpa Willy and Great Grandma Jean). It was nice to see them and Aiden enjoyed their presence. Liam slept through most of the game, which was very cold. After that we went to the mini golf course for a Halloween Party with games and a bounce house. We didn't stay long because my family had to go home but Aiden bounced in the bounce house and Liam went Fishing and got a couple prizes from that. Liam is still a little scared with some of the Halloween things- totally understandable. We went to Harvest and ate a quick bite with them before they left. We were all tired so we headed home and chilled after that.
Devon's birthday was Sunday, October 19th at the Fort Bragg Rec. Center and he had a Spongebob Party. Aiden loves Spongebob so it was fitting. This party had a bounce house, pinata and a great Spongebob cake that Devon's mom (Gabrielle) made herself. Aiden had a ton of fun, Liam was ready to go after about an hour. We stayed longer of course but by the end we were all pooped.
